The sessions available are a mixture of morning and afternoon/evening sessions. The morning sessions are not coached, but are run by one of the captains and are more endurance based training. Evening sessions are run by our coach and are a mixture of technique, speed and endurance.

The coach for the squad is Danny Martland, an ex-swimmer who has trained with many different clubs. As well as being highly qualified, he has a great enthusiasm for the sport and is keen to push everyone to achieve whatever their goals are.

Speaking from experience, trying to get back into training again wasn’t anywhere near as hard as I was expecting. After 4 years out of serious training, I was slightly worried about getting back in the pool. In my first session with the club I realised that everyone was in the same situation as me (a little out of practice), and everyone was there because they enjoyed the sport and wanted to keep fit.
