Hi I’m Nisha, I’m a fourth-year masters student studying Environmental Sciences. I have been in the swim team for the last 3 years and was Vice President in my second year and President last year. My role is mainly to ensure smooth running of all aspects of the club, from bookings and standard of sessions to the wellbeing of all members and overseeing the committee. UYSWC has been a huge part of my time at York and I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is considering it to join. If you have any questions about the club please do not hesitate to ask and I will try to help or point you to the right person.

Hi, I’m Katie and I’m going into my second-year studying Biology. I will be responsible for organising next year’s tour. This will be a fantastic opportunity to travel abroad together as one big team, and to get in some training before Roses! It will also be a great chance to bond within the club and for Swimming and Water Polo to integrate on a more social level. I will also be helping to organise and plan events and fundraisers throughout the year, including our annual charity swim. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an email!

I’m Vinu, I’m a second-year Computer-Science student. I have been playing Water Polo at York during my first year, and for several years before that, playing at a high level. As a goalkeeper, as well as playing out-field, I have a unique perspective on the game and can hopefully use this to improve the team as a whole. My role will mainly be to encourage and oversee the continuing growth and development of Men’s Polo. I will be establishing links with local clubs, including York City, to improve standards of training and competition, which will in turn mean better success in our league this year. Send me a message if you have any queries.
